About Me.
My name is Jana Hendricks, and I am a somatic educator and practitioner in Seattle. My work integrates somatic/embodied theory & practice, depth psychology, interpersonal neurobiology, restorative practices, and attuned healing touch to strengthen nervous system resilience and deepen relational resonance. I support individuals, families, and organizations in developing the capacity to meet challenges with greater flexibility, to connect more authentically with one another, and to inhabit their bodies with more ease.
Neuroscience illuminates that we are relational beings. Our bodies develop through continuous interaction with our social and physical environments; this renders our experiences of connection, conflict, stress, and ease as shared, relational phenomena rather than as states of isolated individual experience. This collective perspective guides my commitment to cultivating spaces—whether these are individual somatic sessions, group circles, or organizational seminars—that support resilience, belonging, and more constructive ways of meeting relational complexity.
The collaborative work I do with clients is about supporting them to increase their capacity to notice what is happening, to respond, and to connect—especially during challenging moments.
Formal Education
PhD, Depth Psychology with Somatics Emphasis
MA, Theology and Peace & Conflict Studies
LMT, Washington State Massage Therapy License # MA60794485
My work is educational and somatic in nature, supporting awareness of the body, autonomic nervous system, and relational experience. While sessions and classes can be deeply restorative, they are not psychotherapy or mental health counseling, and I do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. I am a licensed massage therapist in Washington State and offer bodywork within that professional scope. This work is intended to complement—not replace—medical or mental health care, and clients are encouraged to maintain those supports as needed.
